Great food!! Reasonable prices. Hidden Gem!

I usually come in for dinner and love the food. Came in today for lunch for the first time in a while and was disappointed. Feels like a restaurant this old and respected should be able to shred their own cheese for a grilled cheese. Fake sliced cheese is low effort, tastes like plastic, and looks gross. The French onion soup had so much cheese on top and looked like jello when it came to the table. Really sad about the decline of this place. At least the tomato bread is still good.
My wife and I went out for dinner tonight 3/9/24. We arrived a little before 5:00. We have visited Easystreet often before and not had this experience. However, this will be our last visit. There were people waiting to be seated and we were told it would be about a 20 minute wait. The people waiting before us were all seated, and others had come in after us to wait. A couple of parties larger than us were seated before us, even though we had arrived before them. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking other arrangements may have been made. But after waiting for over 40 minutes, a group of 3 was called before us. They had arrived about 15 minutes before being called. I told the hostess that we were there before them and asked what was going on. She replied she was waiting for a 2 person table for us. I was unaware that couples could only be seated at tables specifically with 2 seats. Bad policy. We won't be back.
We stopped for lunch and really enjoyed it. I got the BLT with Tots and everything was great. Great toast on the bread, good bacon, and fresh greens. It really hit the spot. The Tots were perfect for me, my wife likes them a little more crispy though. She got soup and salad. It looked good, and she enjoyed it. The ranch is pretty good, I tried a tot in it. She got the French Onion soup. I tasted it, I really liked it as did she. Reminded me of home made at my house. We're not in BG much, but it's worth the stop.
Parking: Few street parking for older people
