This is another hidden gem in the metro tucked away near the Spirit of St. Louis airport. Very authentic cuisine! If you do live in West County and St. Charles County, give this place a try. The dumplings are succulent and juicy with a mild five spice flavor. Ramen broth is light and easy to eat without being too overpowering. I had a cold the day that I went and I can say that this ramen was great medicine for my sore throat. Crab Rangoon is a tad on the sweet side, but the Pork Egg Rolls are fantastic. Atmosphere was very calm with light jazz music and perfect for those who are sensitive to noise and can get overstimulated easily. Definitely come here for a delicious meal if you're passing through I-64/40!
The dumplings were steamed and only pan-seared on the bottom. This cooking method resulted in a varied texture, ranging from crispiness to a slight chewiness. The Pork with Shiitake Mushrooms Bao Zi, albeit small in size, was tasty. Both the dumplings and bao zi had juicy and flavorful meat fillings. I loved the option to mix and match dumplings, allowing you to try different filling combinations. The color coding on the dumpling wrapper was also aesthetically pleasing. As for the drinks, the Hong Kong tea leaned more towards a boba tea flavor rather than a traditional Hong Kong Milk Tea. Since it is nondairy, it lacked the creaminess associated with milk. Lastly, the interior had a nice and cozy cafe feeling.
Food and service were amazing!! The girl who took our order was SUPERRR nice! The beef udon was by far our favorite dish. Very yummy!
Got a poke bowl, ramen and boba tea. All were fantastic and the presentation was great. The avocado slices, mango and pineapple chunks and everything else tasted very fresh. Highly recommend. Lady working there was really friendly and answered all of our questions. We will go back for sure. Good food, and overall good vibes from the people and atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Many dishes are ovo lacto vegetarian, and vegan dishes can easily be built through customization via the poke bowl option. Dietary restrictions: I'm currently gluten free vegan and was easily able to build a poke bowl that worked for me. Since some dishes are customizable it's easy to figure out something that works.
Great and authentic tea, Dumplings and Ramen.
Our new go-to place. Filling, tasty, and affordable
I head the crab Rangoons and the shrimp dumplings. Both were delicious!! We are already planning on coming back this weekend!
No frills but so cozy! Food came out super fast! AND they are growing decorative plants!
