I've been here about three time in 2023. Each of those visits got progressively worse in quality. I put Dry Creek Grill on the shelf because of this and tonight I decided to give it another go. Tonight was by far the worst of my experiences.
I ordered a mocktail, Korean BBQ wings, and whatever they named their burger. Before the wings were awesome and I would've recommended them to anyone eating here; sweet and spicy gochujang sauce generously smothered on perfectly sized chicken wings makes for a perfect appetizer. What we got tonight were chicken legs in various uncomfortable sizes that were mostly likely frozen with an unappetizing thick batter covered in sweet and sour dipping sauce. I was so looking forward to the wings and was so disappointed at my first bite.
The burger arrived with all the toppings on the side. I don't like that at all. It was served on a brioche bun which was soggy and disintegrating after the first few bites. The fries were undeniably old, maybe cooked a few hours before hand or sat out too long before serving. Regardless of how, they were more fried stuff than potato and I couldn't put down more than a few. To be fair toward their entrees, I've had two different cuts of steak and the BBQ sampler in the past and had no complaints.
For a party of two we were in and out in under 40 minutes. I get some people may find this time crunch appealing but I didn't get any satisfaction from the realization at how quickly we got our main courses. The service was good enough. I enjoy a wait staff that is attentive yet stays out of your way and they did just that. Though the vibe that accompanied them always left me with the fact that they were at work, working, on the clock, hustling. Even the front of house seemed to be an echo of the welcome feeling I remember from previous visits.
I think Dry Creek Grill is a great place for certain demographics. First dates, casual meetups, weekly dining for elderly customers seem to gravitate most toward the place. Right now, if you're looking for some quality food with a dedicated kitchen staff that's worth the money, this is not the place for you.
To sum it up in a way I'm sure we've all heard from someone who's opinion we value, "I'm not mad, just disappointed.
TL;DR: My favorite thing tonight was the mocktail :/
food is okay but atmosphere is great. I guess that is where my money goes
We have our yearly family dinner here. It's a special event for us. We know the grill will provide top quality. The meatloaf is something I'll think about all day before we go. Some restaurants just don't care about customer satisfaction like the grill does.
Wow, beyond happy with this place. I'm a bartender and I've worked at many different types of restaurants. This place is 5 star. I had a rib eye steak. Perfect. We also had deviled egg with crab on top appetizer. So good. Prawns were good too.
Latest experience was not quite to prior Dry Creek standards that I've experienced in the 10 years I've been going. Bartenders seem to be over worked having to do many tasks that were previously handled by others. Not good. Bartenders are there to serve drinks.
We pulled over for dinner here. It is kind of unplanned. 🍽️ The food and the atmosphere were great! 👍🏼 Unfortunately, my wife and I both got a big upset stomach on our way home. 😷 #food #steak #unsure #tryagain
Had a wonderful meal at Dry creek Grill. Enjoyed their beet salad, calamari, Entrees were, meatloaf, chicken ,the BBQ sampler, but the best entree in my opinion was the filet stroganoff! All Excellent!
Nice intimate setting. Great service and good food. There is bar seating, table and booths. Everything seemed very private. Low lighting.
Not great. Service was terrible, the restaurant is so dark it’s ridiculous, and two of four dishes came out cold. I don’t understand how a short rib can be ok on the outside and bone dry in the middle - yuck!! We won’t be back anytime soon - there’s much better places to spend your money. We went for a birthday and it was nothing but a huge disappointment.
Great atmosphere excellent food & awesome service. Had an outstanding evening.
Service was mediocre at best. I asked for an extra shot in the drink I ordered and was told it was a special drink and anything additional wouldn't fit in the glass, like... put it in another glass. There was nothing special about the one I got. Drink (strawberry summer something) was just OK. The slow cooked beef was good. There was zero ambiance. It was about 7pm on a Sunday so you'd think service would have been better.
Great food. Appetizers were exceptional, especially the deviled eggs and the crab cakes. Also amazing is the cornbread. I would skip the hamachi crudo, though. Onion soup was so-so. Beef short ribs were good, but perhaps I will try a different entree next time.
