OMG! This place hits. I love their vegan wings, collards, and baked mac and cheese. You can't go wrong with your selections here. The sister puts ALL of her love in the cooking.
Friendly service and the food is delicious! I used to travel here from NYC every few months but now we live closer. I truly hope this community restaurant remains open or transforms into a similar business. The owner’s recipes and approach to veganism are one of a kind. If you’ve enjoyed their food you know how unique it is.
Delicious food, very friendly staff.
This place ROCKS. It's very expensive, the service is slower than you can ever imagine, the hours are unreliable, but I'm telling you it's WORTH IT. I have driven hours out of my way to come here. Edit to the response: My above review is current. This is possibly my favorite restaurant I've ever been to. I just want people to know that when the food is pricey or takes a long time to make, it's worth it. Original review from a few years ago: Cashier Miera is the nicest person you'll ever meet, ready to help you with any questions and excited to get you delicious vegan food! I got the chicken tacos and BLT. I'm told they make a vegan bacon grease. I've had many vegan BLTs and this one takes the cake. It's my instant go-to restaurant, not to mention a really pretty view of the river and outdoor seating! You won't regret it.
I loved the vibe here and the delicious food. Everything tasted amazing. Healthy food done right!!
The food is good but the service is not. I have been here many times and finally decided to post a review. I just got the Curry Goat but wanted it the way I ordered it some time back and that was an issue for them to substitute the wrap for rice but the lady was fair and did this for me at no extra charge when the guy who took my order asked. The guy who took my order was rude. I asked a question about the kosher certification and he weighed in and said that they don't have the rabbinical certification and then rudely asked "Are you going to get something or.... " When I asked for clarification he said "Again.. in a rude tone and the chef clarified: it cost too much to pay for the kosher certification. Then I went for a walk and came back 10 minutes after the food was done, and the chef said :I tried to keep it as warm for you as long as I could so I asked her to warm it and she said yes then handed it cold to the server and asked him to hand it to me. Once again I asked her to warm it up and she did. The bathroom was gross and I told them the toilet wasn't flushing. The chef came out to tell me she checked it and it was. It seems like the place has been struggling for some time as they previously had a Go Fund Me page up for an oven. I think if they took loans out to renovate and worked in being nicer to customers then they would have more business. It's a shame because I was really excited for my friends and I to have a kosher certified restaurant in Delaware with quality vegan food. I will still support the business but these are my tips for the business to thrive.
Above average Vegan spot with a dope view of the waterway. #eatatthatjawn
