Drip Affogato Bar NOLA

This place was well on its way to five stars. Unfortunately we left with a bad taste in our mouths. We stopped in with some out of town family to enjoy the dairy free gelato options, some regular gelato for the kids, and some champagne for me, all of which were delicious. At one point my oldest daughter mentioned to our server that she knew about the secret room. He was so kind and told us it would be fine to take a quick peek. The kids were so excited. We were in and out in about 30 seconds, but as soon as we closed the door, someone (manager, maybe?) approached us and said we weren't allowed in and insisted we keep the door closed from now on (it was already closed) I apologized and tried to explain that our server had invited us to take a peek, but she repeated that it was off limits and not to open the door again. She said she would address it with the server, and told another party who was also curious that they could "just see it on instagram." Nevermind the fact that per OpenTable the requirement for the room is a $100 minimum spend, which we were already over at the time (and would have been significantly over had we felt welcome enough to stay for drinks.) It all felt super pretentious, unwelcoming, and unnecessary All this to say, what would have been a 5 star experience defined by great vegan gelato, and a super sweet server who tried to do something nice for our kids instead wound up super uncomfortable and left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Exceeded expectations, would come here again. Creative food and drinks. Very flavourful. Staff was friendly. Excellent experience.

This is a MUST DO if you head to NOLA. it an rainy fun place with great cocktails and the best Gelato concoctions you'll ever have. Parking: It's Siren town NOLA. your best bet is walking Kid-friendliness: Clean Music. Day time great for kids after all it's Gelato! Admittedly, as an adult in NOLA it's nice to be kid free after 7pm . Soooo Wheelchair accessibility: Easy entry

The gelato was delectable. The service was divine and we had a fantastic time

We tried the affogato dessert and it was really good but too pricey for a scoop or two of ice cream with a shot espresso on the side!

The place is beautiful, perfect for a date. Although is very expensive $18 for an 2 small scoops of gelato with a shot of a licor. I just don’t think is worth for a small desert that you barely can share it.
