This was my first time at Dragon Pit and it will be my last. The potato salad had an overwhelming pickle taste (way to much relish) it even looked green. The Mac and cheese was ALL MAC and no cheese. Lastly the tips and dry rub were NOT tasty. There was little to no flavor and I am disappointed because I heard great things about this establishment just to be disappointed and still hungry.
Top notch, and the sandwiches are really big, and really flavorful. Excellent value for the money. I've always ordered online, and they've had my food ready for pickup right in time. I'll be back a lot!
Stopped by on shift and really wish I would have called ahead, but the wait was so worth it. My coworker who isn't from the areas couldn't stop talking about it when we got got back to the station. He for some reason loved the fries; don't get me wrong they are good but it wasn't the special lemon ones and avocado dipping sauce. This place will get plenty of business from our crews. Maybe ask an extra barbecue for the sandwiches if you want some for the fries or something. But seriously I'm already looking forward to the day off so I can stop in off shift; my coworker said the same thing. The atmosphere was historic for me living in the area and an old piano for not being tuned for a long time wasn't as bad it could have been. Parking: Parking in the back or across the street side lots.
This place is a hidden gym. Lunch items are all really good, but you will be most surprised with the breakfast items. The breakfast burrito is one of the best ones I have ever had!
Best bbq in town nobody does brisket like they so
We've been ordering online since Emerson's 1st summer. Sometimes, we just pop in for pickup. He many times is a one man team, so order ahead. He is one of the nicest guys you could meet or purchase food from. Don't forget there is indoor dining. He does offer beautiful and enormous breakfast options. Basic egg breakfasts, burritos, and his fantastic horseshoe. Traditional BBQ of pork, chicken, and best of all brisket. I'd love it if he'd put hot links on his menu. I'm so glad he opened right after the Iron Grate in Milwaukee closed. We never can choose what meat to get. Partial to spicy chicken sandwich or anything he wants to jerk. Loved that he's back to expanded hours in winter. We miss him at the restaurant when he's during his events offsite in summer. Please support him in January and February. These months are always slow. He is battling the weather year round because of his dedication to bbq. Thanks Emerson Vegetarian options: Even though this is a bbq place, he does offer vegetarian breakfasts and sides. Though I believe not vegan. Parking: There is plenty of parking in public lot behind the building.
Got that Jerk sandwich, some Jillion rice, fries peach cobbler (got that Bluto also). Man, this meat sooo good. Everything was really good! I just wanted to send out a thank you!
