Don’s Seafood - Metairie

My husband and I had the pleasure of being served by Maya who was absolutely WONDERFUL! Maya was very attentive and so pleasant checking on us often. The jacked up shrimp was delicious.

Was sent to Don's by a local who later admitted that she only ordered tacos after hearing of my experience. I had lunch at Don's on January 24th. The dozen oysters were lukecold (close to being lukewarm), mushy and flavorless. Trying to wash down the oysters, I found that my sweet ice tea wasn't and the server was no where to be found. I saw the two women at the booth across from me enjoying their shrimp. At the entrance there was a sign that said "we serve Louisiana shrimp exclusively". So I ordered the fried shrimp to get the non descript taste out of my mouth. Wrong decision, the shrimp had the distinct taste of iodine indicating the shrimper didn't ice them down correctly. $40 lunch that was awful.

Uggh,where to begin?? Me and my wife came down to New Orleans, and was recommended to visit this restaurant,by a friend. Ummm,we ordered our food,waited nearly 2 hrs,..the waitress openly admitted that she didn't put in our orders...sooo,we waited,and waited and waited...to be brought food that wasn't even close to what we orderd...and then the waitress began to argue,and we had to go as far as getting the manager to bring a menu to show..what we orderd,wasn't even remotely close to the food we orderd . Absolutely terrible service,and to be honest, i wasn't even willing to have our orders filled after the manager was involved. Ugggh...if this is New Orleans,I'll pass. I

Kalli is the SWEETEST!! The char boiled oysters are amazing!!! Grilled shrimp taco are AMAZING! 10/10 will be back. Thank you for being the best server ever, Kalli!

Douglas was phenomenal. Great service and excellent experience all around.

The food was great , staff was nice. I will eat there again. Kid-friendliness: They were very kind and friendly but were extremely busy.

I was craving a fried seafood platter and came across this restaurant. We started with the charbroiled oysters, delish I love the buttered bread that comes with it. For the entrée, I had the seafood combo. It came with fried shrimp, catfish, stuffed shrimp, hush puppies, fries, and two sides. For my sides, I chose the crawfish etouffee and stewed green beans. All was amazing.

Great drinks and food portions were perfect.
