This place is incredible! I have been to both this location and the one in San Diego. This location specifically had the most fantastic customer service and an excellent menu. The atmosphere offers a chill ambiance for a great family outing or a date spot. The best part about this vegan restaurant in Sherman Oaks is that you would never know it’s a vegan restaurant if they didn't tell you on the menu. 10/10 I will be back here very often!

We’ve come here multiple times for dinner and for brunch. The food is awesome, super fresh and really flavorful and good. Their mushrooms are to die for, but you can’t go wrong with anything at Donna Jean.

Our 7th grade class got to make pizza in the restaurant and it tasted amazing!

I'm not a huge fan of vegan food and this establishment didn't change my mind. The service was good as well as the inside ambiance. The restaurant front is filthy, which is not a good feeling. They also have surcharge of 3% to cover cost of healthcare. It's just strange to ask for a % and not include it in your general operation costs.

Parking: There is street parking in front of the restaurant after 6:00 p.m. and an entire parking lot across the street.

My husband and I got married in September of last year and Donna Jean catered our wedding. We were already huge fans of their location in Sherman Oaks and when we started planning the wedding. We were so stoked to find out Donna Jean does on site catering! They did a fantastic job all around!! To start, our wedding was around 65 guests and 10 or so vendors. It was at The Houdini Estate. It’s a beautiful space, but with no kitchen - they had to bring in all their own equipment. My husband is vegan and I am flexitarian. It was important to us to have a vegan wedding - and a caterer that all our meat and dairy loving friends would fully enjoy as well. Donna Jean was right on the money! The passed appetizers were: 1. Carrot lox with herbed cream cheese on homemade bread 2. Caprese Skewers 3. Bruschetta 4. Nashville Style Fried Oyster Mushroom with Ranch and Pickles For the family style dinner: 1. Bread service with garlic butter dip 2. Caesar salad 3. Strozzapreti with Broccolini in a lemon, wine, garlic cream sauce 4. Rigatoni pomodoro with plant based sausage 5. Grilled market vegetables with Romesco on the side For dessert: - Almond cake with Mint Syrup **This was our wedding cake and it was not only delicious, but also gorgeous! - Pistachio cheesecake bites - Chocolate chip cookies Everything was AMAZING!! We had several guests (most of them not vegan) say it was the best wedding food they’ve ever eaten. Many of them are still raving about the fried oyster mushrooms, the strozzapreti, and the chocolate chip cookies especially! Everything was filling, but not heavy and SUPER delicious!! Pasta is also just the perfect choice for an outdoor LA wedding - even if it’s hot, it still feels light. The service was also fantastic. Donna Jean brought their staff for service as well as cooking. All around - whether you are vegan or not - you should book Donna Jean to cater your LA wedding!! Who doesn’t love pasta?! Great place for terrific vegan dishes. Friendly staff and great pizza too! Good beer choices, tried 3 so far all are tasty.

Not being Vegan, I was at first reluctant to try another Vegan restaurant. I had not had any good experience with several. But, I went as guest of a dear Vegan friend. It was mind-blowing. The food was not only delicious, it was original, fresh and attractively served. I've now been several times, and it is consistenly excellent. Also, the waitstaff is quite helpful and very friendly. They seem to enjoy being there and serving such unusually good food. Overall, it is a great place. I will be a frequent visitor. Everyone I've taken there just loves it too.

I never would have thought of lasagna as a brunch food but after reading reviews I had to try it and so glad I did. It was divine!
