Dominguez Family Restaurant

Paid $14 for a little bit of beans & rice and a very small enchilada as part of their lunch special today. It was actually supposed to cost $13, because that's what it said in the menu I was handed, and then when I brought it up as I was paying, he pushed back, insisting that it was $14 and didn't even bother to check the menu to see if I was right. So, by charging me 2 extra dollars (I was paying for me and a friend), I took $2 off his tip! And then I went home and made myself a sandwich because I was still hungry. Their food is tasty, but if you value a dollar and would like to get an amount of food that's proportional to what you pay, don't come here. The food I received should have cost more like $5 (I'm serious). Plus, they'll try and rip you off. There's no way this employee doesn't know the cost of the food that's in the menu. And I was right. Because when I looked at the menu online at home, it confirmed that I was ripped off.

Good food & wonderful service from a very sweet family

Lets start with the price rating. It is not one "$" restaurant. It is at least two "$$" if not three. For two people to eat a meal at 3:30 in the afternoon cost over $60, over $70 with tip. Next the atmosphere. There were more employees and family/owners than customers and the employees/owners were acting like it was their house living room make noise and making it uncomfortable for us two and the one other person in the restaurant. The food. $22 for a small grilled chicken breast???? The margarita tasted like it was fermenting (old limes). I could not find the cheese in my cheese chile relleno and it tasted like it was fried in old grease.

The food was good, but overpriced for the small amount we received. The service was minimal. For a table of 5 we received 1 basket of chips and 6 little cups of bland salsa. I think everybody each got maybe 3 chips The kids chicken tenders had very little meat, were dry and hard. We will not be back. Was really hoping to like this place.

Really high quality Mexican cuisine.
