Tonight was a disaster. They closed for a while, at least a couple weeks. Turns out they have a new owner who did a facelift on the dining room. Unfortunately, that is not the only thing they changed. I have been obsessed with their butter chicken for months and have been there 2x per month for several months now. The butter chicken and garlic naan I ordered tonight was horrible, the chicken is weird, the sauce is thick and chunky with a weird flavor, even the garlic naan is different and no good. We got home with the food only to realize they forgot the rice, my husband went back to get it and when he got home it was the seasoned yellow rice, not the plain white basmati rice they had previously included with the butter chicken. I tried to eat, it is just terrible. An awful chicken texture that disenegrates in your mouth, with the chunky sauce, the weird naan, and the incorrect rice. Anyone have any recommendations for other restaurants that have butter chicken, this was enough to never go back to Deshi, for butter chicken of their chicken biryani that we frequently purchased over the last 10 or so years.
After New Management, servives is incredible. If you want really homemade Bangladeshi spicy Food, this one right place for you. Specially Beef combo and Chai was Fabulous. Should try it.
They were very rude as I was picking up an order for a customer. Couldn’t stand without being TOLD not asked TOLD to sit down. Plus they never even started the order until 5 minutes after arriving! Also doesn’t seem like the food is fresh due to I heard them operating what sounded like a microwave! Never will do service with them in the future!
The service was below average. The rice and flavors were okay, but the meat was so overcooked it was inedible.
I've been coming here for years, and I don't have a single complaint. The food is great, it's a good value, and the staff are wonderful. I love the chicken samosas, and the chicken biryani here is the best I've had! I strongly recommend it!
Don't go there. Worst service. Dirty plates. Didn't even have silverware. Dirty tables. Unhygienic.
The food was little for $17. The place was looking tardy. dirty windows an curtains deshi curry is not what it use to be in regards to atmosphere it was cold inside I was freezing sorry I won't be back
The service at Deshi Curry is absolutely terrible. There have been several instances where I was made to feel like I had to pay extra just to get my food. For example, when I am dressed in my business attire, and attempt to pay by card the worker constantly asks me if I have cash instead of card, even though the card reader is working. She will insist several times. Once I do pay, that same woman will insist that I tip. Before I had any interactions with her, I was a regular at deshi curry and would ALWAYS tip even though I order to go 100% or the time. I am no longer a customer, which is a shame because their food is amazing.
