We ordered 43.00 of food for dinner, online and my husband went in to get the order. It was very busy inside with only one waiter for the whole restaurant. My husband waited for our food for quite awhile and then returned to the car.We looked in the bag to check if the order was complete and saw it was missing an order for a slice of grilled ham. My husband went back to the counter and told the young man that there's a missing item, he then argued with him that he put it in the bag. Then after continuing to argue, he went back and told the cook and the cook said he remembered cooking that and putting it in a small container to go. My husband said I'm sure you probably did, but it didn't go into my bag. Finally the two begrudgingly cooked another slice of ham and gave it to him. When we got back to the hotel, and opened the food, it was dry and tasteless, disgusting the hash browns weren't even cooked all the way. Look, were seniors, my husband is an veteran, we weren't going into the place to try to rip you off for a 5$ slice of ham. , and he sure didn't deserve to be third degreed and made to feel like he was lying either. Denny's needs to train there wait staff on customer service and the cook should be trained, how to cook. I'm not posting this in expectation of anything in return, even if, Denny's offered me 100 dollar gift card, I would never eat there again. I'm just sharing my negative experience.
