Fries, nachos, tacos, drinks (tequila cocktails, in particular) all good... Almost finger licking good. But the chicken in Chicken Y Shrimp was overcooked and very very chewy. Service is prompt and warm. The place is very lively and wonderful.
We enjoyed this restaurant a lot. Starting out, I had a little bit of complication, which happens to me and if you read my reviews, I do keep it very real about my health and accessibility issues! Well, I can tell you they were kind and understanding when I tried to go sit at a table but my hip was hurting after a few minutes and I was thinking this is not working. Do I complain, do I try to just stay here in pain, or leave to go to a completely different restaurant? I needed different kind of seating, and after I spoke up for myself, they found a booth for my husband and I, which was much better for my lower back and hips. I must say it can be embarrassing because invisible illnesses are a real phenomenon and when you have a chronic autoimmune disease that is wearing away your joints, others may not see evidence of pain and difficulty. Sometimes, I'm using a cane, but other times, I don't have to. Once we got past the seating issue, although it was a busy Friday evening, our waitress was attentive and friendly! The food is delicious with a variety on the menu, so you can try some different types of tacos, quesadillas, or enchiladas and more. I recommend you order some sides to sample things along with your main entree! Fun vibe, clean restaurant, fun atmosphere for date night or family dinner. I'm looking forward to the one opening in Newark, which will be closer to us. Happy hour or Social Hour is from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and you can get some good specials. Parking: For a Friday evening it was actually kind of reasonable but you need to look and you may need to walk a block or two. We were lucky enough to get a spot just a few steps away from the door and you pay at the kiosk on the street. It's a dollar an hour.
