Days Bakery Farm Shop

Great bakery situated in a lovely village. Food very nice. Used quite regularly but unfortunately I won't be returning as after placing my order, paying, waiting for my food and drinks and about to leave the older lady (Staff) then continued to shout across at me and my wife in front of a shop full of customers 'have you paid, have you paid!' The lady had just served me! No apologie given when I stated you can check my receipt and /or bank statement.

Liked this new bakery and farm shop. Friendly helpful staff, nice sausages and bacon with lots of flavour. Bread and cakes tasty too. Easy parking. Recommended.

Mmm, Mmm, Mmm! Not much more I can say really. Would have eaten absolutely anything from the fresh counter, cakes, breads, baguettes. Had the best sausage and crispy bacon bap I've ever eaten, and yes it is a bit pricier than your burger van stuff. But definitely worth it, tasted so good and very filling. My new favourite place for brunch☺️

This place is just about opposite The Queens Head in Newton, which gives you two reasons to go there, despite it being in the middle of nowhere. For me, it's en route to the Thriplow Recycling Centre, so I go past it quite regularly. There's good parking, albeit on a rough piece of ground (it is a farmyard after all!). The shop has plenty of interesting looking stuff in, although the only thing I can report on with certainty, is their sourdough loaf, which was excellent. A bit softer and less chewy than your average sourdough, and quite a bit cheaper too. There were quite a lot of people sitting having tea/coffee and cakes, which said something I suppose, though where they all came from, I have no idea! Definitely a good place to go.

I love the Baker at Newton and the shop. The crispy bacon rolls are fantastic.

100% hate this place for having such good food options and at silly low prices. Cannot keep away!!

Really nice they have dedicated cycle racks. Beautiful building. Some friendly staff but customer service could have been better - 'I filled it to the top'/'you've drunk most of it' (I hadn't) after request for more oat milk in latte - was like a strong coffee, not much milk (lots of froth at top). 'Eat in' cups were takeaway. Lots of cakes but no gluten free (except macaroons) which friendly batista kindly looked up. However, customer service, coffee and lack of variety of cakes.(ie no gluten free, lots of very sugary buns etc) means would not hurry back.

I've been here a few times and every time I visit the customer service gets worse! The staff are abrupt and abrasive. The last time I popped in was on Mothering Sunday and the staff were irritated I was buying cakes, I think they would have preferred to chat amongst themselves rather than serve a customer. The time before that, a member of staff shouted across the store as I exited via the front door "HAVE YOU PAID?!" Rather embarrassing for this to be shouted out especially to a customer who has indeed already paid, but has spent sometime waiting on a baguette to be made (the staff never seem to replenish rolls and baguettes once the initial items are gone). Safe to say, I've given up shopping there now. This week I went to Shelford's Days of Ashwell and wow! what a lovely bakery. I suggest management pop the Newton staff to Shelford for some customer service training. Such welcoming, happy, helpful staff. A world away from the Newton bakery / farm shop.
