Had a great meal at Dawg City Hotdog last weekend. Busy day with a convention in town, but they served hot and fresh food as fast as they could within a packed food hall. Highly recommend the Santa Fee hotdog and Buffalo Chicken Poutine!
Editing - I came back the next day and the owner apologized and I was more understanding than I was the night before when I was disappointed they were not able to take my order 15 minutes before closing. I came back - we had great hot dogs - and I'd come back again next time I'm in town
The two gentlemen in the front were nice and the food came out fast since I was the only order up at the time. I ordered a chili cheese dog and cheese curds which both tasted standard. Like many others have stated, the hot dogs are very skinny. The 2 stars is a result of the horrible stomach pain I experienced 45 minutes after this meal. As I had not eaten anything else that day, it is only logical to think this meal is what did me in. I spent the rest of the afternoon in and out of the restroom. Bad experience for me, but hopefully just an outlier moment.
The food is good if you want to wait 20 minutes for fries when they weren't even busy. Two people standing around while one made all the orders one item at a time.
I stopped here quick for lunch today and ordered 2 brats, an order of fries and an order of onion rings. The lady at the register was super friendly. Despite being lunch rush and super busy, they were quick with my food. Everything tasted great and the price point was good. I will be back - especially to try some of the specialty items!
BLT Dawg Soo good! And fried cheese curds for the first time. Inside 3rd st hall.
Unfortunately had to wait about 40 minutes and then was given wrong order. Scratching of belly was seen as well as workers eating the fries while serving customers.
So good! I've had the polish and brat so far, but other items are on my list too. The Chipotle sauce with the onion rings is a must.
Food was fine. Staff unprofessional. Lady was on her phone and not helping which delayed a few orders.
I wanted to love this place. Was pressed for time, so decided a hot dog place would be quick. 4 people waiting ahead of me. 13 minutes later my hotdog and onion rings came out. I should have taken a picture because the Chicago Dog looked amazing, until I bit into it. Ice cold hot dog! Onion Rings were worse! I think they were so overcooked that somehow the onion disappeared, because I couldn’t taste or see any onion, and they were chewy/soggy. The staff didn’t seem like they wanted to be there, and like I said I was pressed for time, so had to throw out most of my $13 lunch.
