Stopped there for coffee and scones on our way through Penrith. A lovely, quirky little cafe offering excellent home baking with friendly service at reasonable prices. Just remember to mind your head if climbing the stairs to the loo! Parking: There are plenty of free parking places nearby, but you must obtain a parking disc from one of the local shops. Wheelchair accessibility: Toilets are up a steep flight of stairs.
We stumbled across this delightful establishment whilst on holiday in the area of Penrith, it is a beautiful place to have a drink and bite to eat and myself and wife had tea and scones and son had chocolate cake, all home made and lovely friendly staff too, it's a very charming building with old roof beams, open fire and lots of character just across from the beautiful parish church, would highly recommend, you will love it.
Cosy. Excellent service & food. Dog friendly.
Use the cafe all the time very good service and good atmosphere
DAFFODILS COFFEE HOUSE HAS GREAT FOOD, PLEASANT STAFF AND A WARM ATMOSPHERE AND IT IS DOG FRIENDLY TOO.
When we arrived, every table was taken, but the lovely lady who greeted us promised to reserve a table for us if we came back in 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, we were sat in a seat by the window close to the cosy fireplace. Tea came in a china teapot, and the Christmas dinner in a Yorkshire pudding wrap was delicious and very filling. What a lovely little tea shop. We will definitely return.
Really quaint little coffee house
Lovely little place. Good food. Good price. Excellent service. Would go again.
If you're in Penrith, make sure to stop by Daffodils! It's a great independent coffee house, with a great selection of freshly made cakes and hot food! They can cater for gluten free too! Staff were very helpful and was a good atmosphere. Toilets are upstairs.
