Crown Inn at Shap

Atmospherically empty. I'd be intrigued to see it's clientele when full.

Neglected, deserted, dire.

I know it's January, traditionally quiet for pubs but when the landlord can barely get up from watching the TV to serve behind the bar, it doesn't create a nice atmosphere, especially when he's coughing badly and doesn't put his hand in front of his mouth. Food mediocre, would not recommend, there are 2 other pubs in the village, I can't see this one lasting much longer.

A perfect local pub. Good selection of drinks and pub food, very friendly and helpful owners. A place that's not pretending to be anything else! Thanks for letting me park up for the night too

Great friendly pub, we will be back. Parking: We stayed overnight in our Motorhome, this is free as long as money is spent in the pub.

Had lunch here yesterday after a great morning hiking. Lovely warm pub with very friendly service and tasty food. Absolutely perfect for what we needed and would very much recommend.

Great time had here. Good food, good beer, wrong glass good company. Parking for the motorhome. What more do you need?
