Meat loaf was very dry. Had a big piece of onion in my mashed potato. Forgot my Cole sole till I was finished with dinner.
My first visit was outstanding! The fried catfish was scrumptious. I also enjoyed the mash potatoes with gravy, coleslaw and baked apples. The cherry lemonade had nice lemon pulp and a fresh cherry taste. Overall, my meal was delicious! To top it off the waitress was very kind, thoughtful and helpful with my ordering of the food. I will definitely be back for more delicious meals! Parking: I park in the handicap parking and there was space open.
I don't know what's happening but the Cracker Barrel restaurant in the Chicago and Indiana areas have changed. This location, the server was kind but that's it. I ordered my food, when I got it the grits were amazing but cold, I told her so she took the and brought more. I was surprised to find the new grits watered down and soupy. So I gather they put water in them which took away the taste and the consistency. We asked for water but the server never brought it out. The restaurant was cold, there was no indication that the staff wanted to work that day. I am a very good tipper, I didn't even want to leave a tip but I did. The nicest person was the cashier. If I could've given my tip to the cashier, I would have because she was the only one with good customer service skills. Parking: Parking was good, it was easy to find a space.
Beverly was such a wonderful server
My girlfriend and I went there for breakfast today the food was okay not the best Cracker Barrel I've been to and I'm a Avid fan of Cracker Barrel but the one I went to today was not all that great
