What a great meal! Food was EXCELLENT for Cracker Barrel… store was clean (INCLUDING the bathrooms!) and the atmosphere was such that I felt like I had stumbled upon my mother’s version of heaven… old southern country comfort and Knick knacks EVERYWHERE… but, that is what has made them truckloads of cash. The highlight was again the server. Prompt, generous and kind, Taylor was great! Ask to sit at her table when you go. This location is a model of what I want a Cracker Barrel to be when I go. Excellent experience! Scale of 1-100… I give it a 95. Go and enjoy yourself. If you don’t like Cracker Barrel… do them and yourself a HUGE Favor and stay home. This is quintessential CB.
As a private chef I normally don't frequent chain restaurants. But a group of my extended family has been meeting here to stay in touch and share old pictures. It is always a Great experience, service & food. Staff, from opening front door for us with welcoming words & smile, to getting us set up for large party, then adding table & seats for more, and checking out, setting me up with frequent club. Our server was prompt & willing, even though we didn't initially ask for separate checks, to go back, and do so. (This is a huge pia, I am a former server). She also repeatedly told us to stay as long as we wanted, even though they were busy, and I was trying to move our party along (Please don't do this. It's rude to people waiting, and cuts into server's ability to make $). Will always look forward to our breakfasts here, despite driving past another closer location.
I only came in to pick up a gift for my sisters b/d. I found over $100. plus items to purchase. The guy at the register was being very rude to me. I wanted an Owl lamp on sale. He wasn’t happy that he had to go look for it. He made me come with him. Then he was like. Well I don’t see a box and I’m not sure if I can get it. Because it needed to be unplugged and also had no price. Then he finally got it and asked another manager that was leaving how to find the price. I went to ask him a ? And he said “Let’s do one thing at a time. “ But not very nice. So I said, Sir, I’m not feeling well, please don’t be rude to me. He said I’m not, but he did change his attitude, but still was not very nice. I have been going to your store off of Fields Ertel & 71 for a very long time. Probably about 40 years. So please be nice to me. I support your job. I did get food also. But it was not complete. I got pinto beans, onion & cornbread. But got one order of beans, one cornbread no onion. Buy the timed I checked I was so ready to go with my three bags of merchandise and didn’t want to ask him for one more thing. I walk with a cane, I have a problem with my hip. I had three of your bags filled, not full, with different items & him or any of your other clerks, or no one else at your store, asked to help me out. That really made me sad. I don’t know his name. It was last Thursday, January 11, 2024 around between 3-4:30? I was very sad, by the time I left. And your food service & wait time is horrible at this restaurant. We sometimes drive to your store in Milford, because the servers are always nicer and you don’t have to wait over 30-40 minutes for your food to be served to you cold. Sorry, but this treatment opened up a can of worms for me. Get your act together.
Food was great as always! Our server didn’t pay much attention to us. Overall it was a good experience. I will be returning
