This place is way above your average hotel restaurant / bar. Good vibe, great energy, terrific food with some unique options.
I watched a chef touch fries without a glove. So I watched longer. He proceeded to grab portions of raw steak to put on the grill, without a glove. As he put buns on the grill he dropped one on the ground and picked it up and continued to use it. Then, he portioned cooked fries into a takeout container, still without gloves and no hand washing. I went behind the server’s station to tell him I saw what he did. I’m servesafe certified. That is not ok. I quickly left the area, I understand that was not appropriate. The hostess reacted with threats of calling the police, telling me I had to leave as I was putting my coat on. We had drinks we didn’t finish and food we ordered that never made the table. She tried to charge us for the food. My husband gave her the $50 gift card we were gifted and we left. I called the board of health. Don’t go here. Disgusting! I don’t want a response, it’s a beyond repairable situation and don’t see how staff could respond more than they’ve already threatened me with. People deserve to know.
