Always count on Contis to come thru for birthday cakes, cupcakes, delish sweets and lots of other Goodies... Awesome place!
Amazing pastries. Always fresh & delicious
I got a 30 dollar already made carrot cake and the cake was bad i cut the cake and it was not soft on the inside i tasted like its been sitting there for days. Plus the flavor was off and tasted like alot of cinnamon. I have no idea who is making these cakes but the recipes to them are bad like do you guys even taste your own cakes before selling them, same thing with red velvet one and i am not exxagerating. The best is to go to ARTUSO BAKERY not to far from there i guarantee it i am done with conti bakery this the 2nd time and the cakes are NOT good.
I bought an Apple Turnover ,Im a Pastry Baker & Chef 27 years. I went in with a friend he wanted something there. We drove from Castle Hill, I craved the Apple Turover by seeing it . I get home NO APPLE in your APPLE TURNOVER ?? YOU definetly charged for APPLE or was it A SAD APPLE AIR POCKET !! ??
Along with my sister and brother-in-law visiting from North Carolina, we Visited Conti's Bakery yesterday, 4/18/2024. My sister and brother-in-law were literally overwhelmed by the so many selections of Cakes, Pastries, cookies, etc, to choose from. Staff members are always so very kind and courteous, making all customers very comfortable. Once you visit Conti's Bakery, you will visit again, again, and again. My sister and brother-in-law each had hot chocolate, and a onion bagel with cream cheese. Thing is they will not stop talking about how delectable the bagel and hot chocolate were. I will visit Conti's again tomorrow and also Sunday. I have to decide whether to buy linzer tarts, black & whites, cheese puffs, cheese flaps, crumb cake, pound cake, apple turnovers or ??? My advice is just make a visit to Conti's. The only difficulty you will experience is, what to buy and how much. Believe me, You Will Not Be Disappointed. As far as recommending what to buy at Conti's, I have to say, "EVERYTHING".
My family lived on Holland Avenue in the 1950 thru the late 1970s and we always got ice cream and cakes from Contis. In fact the best ice cream I ever had was from this bakery. I live in Pennsylvania now and have lived in many places since my childhood and will always have fond memories of this place. Thanks for the memories. Barbara Kane Budde.
I bought a birthday cake today first time place is amazing and wonderful staff thank you.
Great aroma as you entered the store with a sense of past glory if you know what I mean. A little disappointed at the seating inside, it no longer existed. My favorite here is the rainbow cookies. Personally I think they are the best IN NYC. The service here was okay, not as good as pre-pandemic. Parking: Parking is easy here
