Ordered 6 burgers for take-out. Asked waitress if burgers were plain, without aioli, and she said yes. Went home and discovered they were not. Went back to the brewery and told my original waitress about it. She went to her manager (female-didnt get her name), and she had a smirk on her face. She discussed it with me and ordered new burgers without aioli. While waiting for the burgers there, the manager didn't even offer any compensation (not that I was looking for it- though it would have been the right thing to do). After 15 minutes, they presented me with the "correct" burgers, and then I left. Once I arrived home, the manager called me and stated if I can return to the brewery because they forgot to add bacon on it (which I had originally ordered). At this point, I WAS LIVID. The manager NEVER checked the order before it went out, and they messed up AGAIN. I told the manager that everytime I order from this place, there`s always an error. The manager and staff take no responsibility for their mistakes or actions, nor do they care. Therefore, their SERVICE is SUBOPTIMAL, as they DO NOT pay attention to detail. Don't know who works in the kitchen, but that should change. If you want better service and staff that can take orders correctly, go to a different brewery.
French onion grilled cheese was perfect, very good fries. Everything we saw other people eating looked great.
Great local brewery, lots of great creations, especially the Freight Train imperial milk stout (very much like a Guinness).
Had the coconut beer, it was flat and did not taste good. The food took forever to come out and it was ice cold, the place wasn't even half full. Location is beautiful but they have to work on the food and service.
Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, decent beer. However the food was awful and extremely overpriced. They said burgers are what they’re known for. They were awful. No flavor, the toppings were minimal, buns were soggy, fries were cold and soggy. Ordered a burger cooked well, it was rare. The amount they charged for everything was criminal. No fault of the staff, they were friendly and nice to us. But I wouldn’t go back sadly.
I love the historic building and the food has been fantastic every time I have visited. In the warmer weather, the outdoor beer garden is lovely! I do wish they had a few more options for those of us who prefer more fruity flavors. I was excited to learn that Clemson does trivia night on Tuesdays but would encourage them to promote it a bit more as there was not much competition when we visited.
The food has always been great. but the service has recently moved in the wrong direction. I always brought members of my family to Clemson brewery to celebrate events or just showcase the delicious food and custom beverages. However, this is the last time. Almost $800 tab, The waiter was short, sharp and seemed annoyed when asked questions. He didn’t seem to want to be at work today. I brought my family from Warwick, after attending a wake for beloved family member. I raved about the food and service but left disappointed. Just unacceptable. We were pretty easy to deal with, i’m sure another small business would have appreciated the patronage .
