Great Beach bar! Huge! Fun atmosphere
We went to the Steve aoki concert and it was amazing but the girls could have taken our orders in the GA area we were basically left thirsty the entire time you would think for an event they would someone walking around taking orders. We were stuck not wanting to loose our spots. Just missed the mark
I had gone to Clayton’s 3 times during my stay in South Padre, due to the hype this place had surrounding it, which we found out was kind of undeserving. We aren’t locals by any means, matter of fact we live 10 hours north, so social media & ads on the internet were the deciding factors of what we did this trip. The first time we had gone to Clayton’s was for a quick lunch/dinner. I had ordered a cheeseburger for both myself and my boyfriend, so two burgers/fries & a chips and salsa. The staff was short tempered but can you blame them, drunk college kids all day has to be exhausting. The total for that no drinks was $50. It was good for beach food and convenience but not really worth it to eat here if you just need a bite, as it is so pricey. That night we went back for the Steve Aoki concert and they had 1 line open for VIP and GA ticket buyers. The line was OUTRAGEOUS. We stood in line for an hour and a half and missed Steve Aoki coming onstage. The concert itself was amazing and they had VIP and GA separated. Thanks to Steve it was perfect night. I had heard the pre-performances and they were no good. The second night we had gone back and we had tickets for Chris Lake. Again, mixed ticket lines but this time, NO VIP OR GA SEPARATION AFTER WE PAID FOR VIP. People who bought GA we’re bragging and stepping on our toes to squeeze to the front because there was no separation. Not to mention no food or drink from outside and the bar is so expensive. For example, 2 crown shots was $18, $5 beers, etc. The pre-performance for Chris Lake was a drag and after getting there fairly early we were pushed further back and ended up just going to the back because of GA ticket buyers pushing through the crowd of people who bought VIP. Overall summary: OVERPRICED, UNDERSTAFFED, UNORGANIZED, NOT WORTH IT.
We've been here several times. The food is pretty good. The atmosphere is layed back. You have several seating options. Under cover, out in the open, or overlooking the beach. It is pet friendly so that is a plus.
Can someone tell me where dj dollz are performing? Saw them on the cover of snap map,I know were at Clayton's last year, staff is rude and unhelpful. Our group came down again to see them, please someone help.
