Its a very cool space, that is open and mostly clean and has nice art etc. It's cool to have the option to play board games and other activities as well! That being said there were still dirty tables and the self serve beers, while a great idea, had some issues. One of my pours was like 80% head and an 18% service charge is stupid when I'm literally the one doing a majority of the work and get a dirty table anyway. I see from other reviews this has been the main pain point. Their untapped check in promotional thing is also unnecessarily convoluted and just comes off as skeevy IMO.
Beer was great, and the ability to sample small amounts first is a plus, but the fact that they add an 18% gratuity to a self serve station is ridiculous.
18% service charge to pour my own beer with no server. Just build it into the cost of the menu and advertise the correct price.
Good concept buying beer by the ounce. Prices were good with a good selection of beers to choose from. Tad inconvenient due to the parking situation. I prefer the microbrewery atmosphere better.
This is such a unique and fun concept! Put a credit card down and you can self-serve your own beer pours. It's priced by the ounce, ranging from $0.40 - $1.70 per ounce depending on the beer. Just a heads up that there is also an 18% service charge added to your tab. A great way to sample many of Wisconsin's excellent brews in Brew City!
This is within the 3rd Street Market Hall. You connect a credit card to a "pour my beer" card, and you can pour your own beer to the ounce! You can even pour your own flight. They have 24 craft beer taps. I personally found it fun to do 2 ounces of each! It is slightly expensive, but a super fun experience! You can also move within the market hall with your beer to buy food from the many vendors or play games like bags or shuffle board. Have fun!
