Do not go for the food. I ordered the chicken and waffles and they served fried bone in chicken. The chicken was dry and flavorless (worse than school cafeteria chicken). They did not have any creamer for coffee and the chocolate milk was prepared with milk of questionable integrity. Both the coffee and milk glasses were over full to the point of spilling before they were set down.

Visited City Diner for meals of breakfast and lunch. The atmosphere was wonderful. Service was excellent and our server, Arlene, was very attentive. Everyone in my party had meals that were delicious with sizable portions. Will be going back again when visting downtown Jersey City.

Very good place for a traditional American breakfast. Good service and to a good price.

This place is always buzzing, especially on Sunday mornings. We love coming here often. It's so lively, and even though there might be a bit of a wait, the food is always fresh. The service is alright, nothing exceptional, but the location is super convenient. They have a good variety of drinks and food. Usually, the servers are quite busy, so don't expect them to be too attentive. However, there is this one woman who is an absolute gem. She's an amazing server, so kind and friendly. If you're lucky enough to be served by her, your visit will be even more enjoyable. Vegetarian options: Veggie burgers, burritos, omelette

The food and atmosphere were decent so it pains me to say; Zero greeting, say with two kids and after looking at menu had to inquire about kids meals,waited ten minutes to be given fork after food arrived, virtually no communication. Robots couldn’t have been more transactional. Sadly won’t be returning.
