Chili Thai Downtown Tacoma

Great little spot for lunch downtown Tacoma. Easy parking on a Thursday. The food was hot and fresh. The Chicken Red Curry was plentiful and creamy. Great flavors. Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options and low carb options. Dietary restrictions: Able to get rice on the side. Order veggie options. Parking: Thursday at 1130 there was street parking. Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome

Having worked in the restaurant industry as a family business for over 15 years, I am not what one would consider “easy to please.” I also appreciate restaurants that give their customers a good value for what they spend. I’ve been traveling between Seattle and Tacoma for the past four days, and this was certainly one of the best meals that I had. The owner was friendly, gave me service with a smile, attended to my every need and, perhaps most importantly, gave me excellent food at a more than fair price. Chili is not a fancy place. It is somewhere between what I would call average dining experience and a hole in the wall from looking at it from the outside. What you receive once you cross the threshold is five star service, delicious, fresh food. (try the red curry salmon. Really. It was unbelievable.) And price that is almost comically low compared to other restaurants in the area. Great place for families. They offer every dish at your own level choice of spiciness (0 to 5). And, again, do everything with a fantastic attitude and a constant smile. I will certainly be back. Vegetarian options: There are tofu options as well as vegetable options for almost every dish they serve here. Dietary restrictions: They are very specific in determining how you would like your food cooked. From spicy to mild. Parking: It is on one of the main streets downtown. There didn’t seem to be a lot of parking around. I walked from my. Kid-friendliness: Two parties came in with kids. Both were catered to and brought a little treat even before the meal. Wheelchair accessibility: From what I saw, there should be no issue getting a wheelchair in and out of the restaurant.

Egg rolls were really good as was everything we ordered. Good vegetarian options.

Awesome food. The garlic pork was spicy, just the way I like it.

I had the beef salad, 4 star. 4 star was good and spicy, at my edge. Delicious. My table weenies were at 2 star and they enjoyed theirs- they suggested the place to me. Service was kind and helpful, decor is pretty standard, clean and tidy. Glad I went!

Buy the Moo Yang oh my God. Best pork I've ever had.

Great spot for the standards. Clean, bright, friendly service. Happy hour food and drink specials. (And two curries that come with eggplant!)
