Our server, George, was super friendly. The food was great and I had an amazing lemon cake for dessert.
Nice little spot in town with a TON of beer options. The food is really good as well. I recommend the Nashville spicy fish sandwich!
Was pleasantly surprised. Because "Wilmington". Did not expect less, due to the Grand, but the city can "hit or miss". This is not a miss.
I ordered takeout just a simple salad but you could totally sit in if you wanted to. It was a few ppl at the bar not packed at all very chill for a Friday night.. but my salad was good fresh no brown lettuce the caeser dressing had like a lemon flavor to it but still good ..I love Ken’s dressing so it threw me off alil but for $9 cant beat it
Servers were awesome and food was excellent
I usually only leave good reviews, but this experience was so unpleasant, I have to leave this. With a forced tip of 18% and a 2% service charge for the "cost of running the business" (I'm a business owner. Running a business costs money. To surcharge every single bill to pay to run your business is ridiculous. Especially when the prices are already above normal for a mid-level restaurant), I shouldn't have been surprised that we received awful service and poorly cooked food. The fish and chips were super dry and way over done. I couldn't eat most of it. But my fries were soggy and had very little flavor. I would have said something to our server, but she would be gone for extended periods of time, and only stuck around long enough to see if anyone had a bar order (and would turn to leave as soon as she received the first drink order, requiring the others at our table to call her back. She made absolutely zero effort to refill non-alcoholic drinks. Two members of our 5 person party, with a 5:00 reservation, asked for soda refills, which never came. My husband had to go to the bar and ask for refills, to wish the server said "oh yeah ..I got you. She didn't.. after our food came, it took 20 minutes to even get vinegar! My bill of $77 was for an order of Mac n cheese bites, 2 severely overcooked orders of fish and chips, two beers, and a soda. You only have an option of paying extra on top of the 20% that is automatically added to every bill, regardless of the size of your party (which is in small font on the very bottom of the menu. We saw it and hoped that meant management made sure service was at least decent. Spoiler, it was not. Traveling 45 minutes to try this place was a complete waste. Complaining would have been useless. This place is obviously understaffed and overpriced. No intentions of ever returning.
BEWARE of the 20% "Service Fee." We have been here before, we like attending shows at the venue across the street. Server was great, food was great, atmosphere was great, but when a restaurant charges a 20% Service Fee onto the check, it just takes all the good feelings away.
