Chef Jono at V&V

A wonderful dining experience which was provided with great food, an interesting wine float and excellent service. With any premium dining the price is somewhat irrelevant, the food was well thought through and we found that the drinks package matched the flavours well. The service was great and the staff knew the flavours and could articulate and comment on their views of why the pairing complemented each dish. Kid-friendliness: This isn't a kid friendly venue.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday lunch tasting menu. Each unique course was packed with flavour and the presentstion of each dish was fantastic. My fiance had the vegetarian menu. He said each course was some of the best vegetarian food he has tried. The service was prompt and attentive. The paired drinks were perfect too. We recommend Chef Jono at V&V to anyone who enjoys great food. I was so busy enjoying the food, I forgot to take photos! Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is not wheelchair friendly as it is up several flights of stairs and there is no lift.

Very unique experience. Wanted something more special for our anniversary and we received exactly that. Chef Jono and his team have been so coordinated from the beginning to the end. The food is delicious and complex, and the whole 10 course meal goes so well. Very well thought out for the palate.

My word of the evening has been ‘ridiculous’ how can the flavours Chef Jono put together have the effect they do. For anyone wanting an experience of fine dining, then look no further. With a team who enthuse about the dishes whilst Chef Jono prepares the food in full view- it’s an experience not to miss Vegetarian options: Broccoli, wild mushrooms with teriyaki and sesame. Not French onion soup Tomato black garlic,olive and capers

Some dishes on the tasting menu were lovely, but so many heavy dairy dishes left me unable to finish or really enjoy the last few courses. I'd expect a much more comprehensive drinks offering from a restaurant offering fine dining. Service was efficient but felt forced and didn't have the charm I'd have expected. Think I maybe caught them on an off night, and I would try them again, maybe for a Sunday lunch. Vegetarian options: Full vegetarian tasting menu.
