Charred Gourmet Burger & Sandwich

Found this on yelp as I flew into the area today. Wanting a burger for lunch but a local place. The name caught my attention. Undoubtedly the best burger I’ve had in years. And the fries are excellent. I need them to reopen in Florida where I live. The owners are new apparently. They are kind. Friendly. Caring. Apologetic that their soda machine was broke and waiting for the repair man. Offered me free water bottle! I can not strongly enough encourage you to visit and enjoy Charred.

Great taste. My kids say dad this burger tastes like the ones you make at home. I said this ones tase better. Highly recommended if you love that Smokey taste. Parking: Lots of spots. Kid-friendliness: They love kids.

Great burger. Minute you walk in, smells like backyard bbq. Cooked over actual wood. Gives burger great flavor. Secret sauce is tasty. Will definitely be back.

Really good burgers at a really good price. You'd be hard-pressed to find that these days for burger joints. Should i ever find reason to return to NoVa, im definitely stopping here again

Nice burgers and listening to some old English music

First time there - the burgers were simply phenomenal. Cooked perfectly, sublime wood-fired taste, excellent service (thank you Ansen,, part-owner). We’ll be going back very soon! If you like burgers, they are a bargain.

Great burgers here. The fries are excellent, as are the truffle chips. They turn around the orders quickly, and they package things smartly so that the fries stay crispy and the burger toppings stay fresh. I’ve loved everything I’ve ordered so far. EDIT 8/5/21 — they don’t package things the same way anymore, and that’s a disappointment. Takeout now comes in styrofoam containers, which leaves the fries and buns soggy by the time you get home. The food is still tasty, but it’s a real miss that they’ve changed the packaging.

Their sandwiches and fries are tasty, and worth a try. I bought a charred burger and small waffle fries, both well prepared. Options are good, and you may find some almost unique choices. The inside of the restaurant was clean, the cashier was polite, and service time was reasonable. I gave them 4 stars only because of their prices, of course, I don't expect a McDonald's price for a freshly made sandwich, but spending more than 15$ for a burger and small fries (without beverages) sounds high as well.

My 20+ year "burger day" Wednesday tradition was fully realized and satisfied today! My burger and fries were hot and flavorful. I plan to come back for a visit soon!
