We came here for many years, even after moving to Langley. However, after the original owner died and all the long term staff left, it went straight downhill. Apparently, his daughter took it over but with none of the original cooks, and no idea how to have a clean restaurant, it was disgusting. We saw there was a name change, so went in to try it in August for take out but quickly left before ordering. A terrible shame that such a fine, well run for almost 5 decades restaurant has completely disintegrated.

I cant think of a bigger downfall of a restaurant on the North Shore then this restaurant. My great grandparents, grandparents, my parents, family and friends used to all go there back when it was called Capilano Heights and they had the best food, service and atmosphere. Since it got taken over and renamed to CC’s, it has become so bad. The food tastes gross, nothing like it used to. The service is terrible, always takes a long time and often there was big lineups or wait times when we went in there. Atmosphere was terrible and I even saw someone posted a video of a rat running around inside the restaurant. Its so sad that a generational restaurant has become so bad. I hope that the older owners come back and make it great again like it used to be or better owners come in that can have the same quality that it used to be or better. Even though it is such a bad restaurant, it actually has the most potential on the North Shore. If someone could come in, upgrade it, make better food, hire good employees, create a great atmosphere, make more parking spaces. The old structure would be best because it has so much history but if its too old like the wood is rotting or something then of course tear it down and make a brand new Chinese restaurant. Its in such a beautiful, natural location, it honestly could be so good! And I hope it is is one day! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available Dietary restrictions: They may accommodate for dietary restrictions if you ask Parking: Not many spots available. Street parking if you are lucky or are ok with walking a bit Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Is wheelchair accesible

It was fine. Fried rice was bland, chicken was not cooked to my liking and seemed boiled. The atmosphere was like an old church cultural hall or lodge. The staff were all very sweet and prices were good.

There are no words. We waited over an hour for our food. While waiting, we had “live” entertainment as we watched a rat, the size of a house cat, walk across two tables and scurry over the chairs around the tables. We finally lost sight of it, but did take some fantastic video that will be forwarded to the health department. There was only one waitress working the floor and answering the phone for the plethora of takeout orders. The two cooks could not keep up and customers had to be turned away. We have been coming to this restaurant for over 40 years and it has never been this bad. When Daisy retired, Capilano Gardens, as we once knew it, went with her. We will not be returning.

Do not go to this place for ambience, because they don't have the budget to maintain the place nor hire professional servers. What they do have is the best tofu dish ( braised tofu) in the city. Do takeout, but if you choose to dine in, overlook the rundown surrounding, & you will experience the tofu dish in all its glory. Best eaten with plain rice.
