We officially opened our doors on Jan 1, 2008 in Richmond, CA. I got tired of driving 5 miles for a shot of good espresso and wanted a place for high-end coffee that was community-centric, in Richmond, of all places. Landscapers in line next to lawyers. This sums up Catahoula: a gathering place for all walks of life. Since our opening, Catahoula Coffee has established itself as an award-winning coffee producer, not only in the Bay Area but with "Catahouligans" from Coast to Coast. We are a Premier Artisan Coffee Roaster and we take coffee seriously (not ourselves)! We source the finest green beans — not only the very best quality but from growers that are responsible to the earth and their farmers — and roast them to perfection.
