Used to love this place. Not sure what has happened? Food was not that good and I was charged $2 to add tomatoes and $2 to add onions to a taco ??? So $4 total to a freaking little taco? Won't be back.
Great restaurant with amazing food and a good bar atmosphere at night. Worker owned so no tipping which is an amazing breath of fresh air and everyone is always great. A shining example for future restaurants!!!! Parking: Street parking in a college town, varies based on when students are in.
Quintessential Athens. Often crowded so you have to wait - but you can sit in the bar and order off the bar menu. Good, locally sourced food. Come To the Hills Deluxe is my favorite - beans and rice, veggies, two kinds of salsa for a good price. Yes!
When I die, scatter my ashes here.
Beloved, but janky. It’ll probably be slow, and there’s a regular chance of incorrect entree details. Staff range from personable, committed establishment contributors (as the place is worker-owned) to your standard definitely-stoned young kitchen staff. Mixed drinks are overpriced, for Athens, and for the presentation + preparation (tip: Ask to get the base marg with real lime as an upcharge. The base margarita, which uses lime cordial, is not worth it, but the one that uses fresh lime and Cointreau isn’t quite either.) Quite casual. Very accommodating of regulars. There was great delivery service during the deep pandemic that I wish would make a comeback. Overall, please visit, but beware the Athenian jank. Vegetarian options: Flexible and widely-available veggie options
One of my favorite places in uptown Athens. Bloody Mary varieties are outstanding.
