Just a tourist looking for excellent Puerto Rican pasteles. First we got there a few minutes before they opened, but they let other customers in, but told us to wait outside until they opened at noon. A very nice young man (customer) opened the door and invited us to wait inside and thanked me for my military service. I don’t speak Spanish, but thought I was clear in my ordering pasteles with the cashier. Got something completely different, the receipt said it was fried pork chunks with monfongo for $12.95. I went back to the cashier with a picture of pasteles and she said they had them for $4 and change, so I got 2 hoping they were good like ones I had in other places. Unfortunately the pasteles were not good. Fortunately the fried pork chunks and stuffed tostones rellenos were good.
