In 1981, our mother and family started “El Mexicali Cafe”. Since then, our homestyle Mexican cuisine and outstanding service have delighted all of our guests. A few years later, in 2006, our success and loyal customers inspired us to open a second restaurant, “El Mexicali Cafe 2”, on Monroe Street in Indio, California. Today, after 50 years and four generations, we are happy to carry on our mother’s heritage by using her “family recipes” which are well-known among locals and visitors as some of the greatest Mexican food in the Coachella Valley.
