Carbondale Beer Works has been a pillar of downtown Carbondale for years. In that time, they have perfected their craft and honed their identity to become one of the valley's very best rooms to enjoy alcohol and food in. The beer taps are limited, but varied and delicious enough to satisfy any flannel clad aficionado with a twirly moustache. Guest taps and seltzers ensure no one who wants to sip suds will get left behind. Beer is in the name, but whiskey and cocktails really run away with the show here. They have the best curated whiskey selection anywhere in a hundred mile radius, and also one of the largest. A real focus is made on regional and state distilleries, whom they partner with for pairing event dinners that are way better than they have any right to be at a brewery. The food across the board is actually far above average for pub fare, with a surprisingly varied menu and some of the lowest prices for quality grub in the area. Even on their busiest nights, service has always been efficient and friendly. Above all Carbondale Beer Works has gone above and beyond to foster and nurture a real sense of community. Distiller dinners, bingo and trivia nights (often in support of local charities), concerts, and much much more. All focused on connecting with their community and anyone as in love with the art of brewing and distilling as they are. Oh, and five dollar high shelf whiskey pours on Thursdays. That alone is enough to keep this bourbon dork's soul fulfilled for years to come.
Honestly the best! Such a rarity to find a community pub/bar that serves delicious food and has such friendly service. Loved the Mac Daddy. Can’t wait to come back next time!
Really good house brews and the loaded fries were perfection, with rich chili and beer cheese, would definitely go back!!!
This is the perfect place to stop in for a yummy dinner, cold drink, and fun atmosphere on a cold night. The servers were friendly and efficient. I would definitely have dinner here again.
Delicious beer and great girl power vibe and merchandise. Highly recommend!
Good food, excellent service. The staff was great and got us on time to the movies.
I don't really usually expect much from bar food at breweries, but this was definitely the exception. The dish I had for lunch was excellent. (Korean BBQ pork with a side salad and kimchi) They don't have a huge selection of beers but the one I had was excellent too, the Yo Bro Porter.
beer was awesome, had their IPA and it was great. partially covered patio with hop bines around it - such a good idea! had the pretzel w beer cheese and shared burger w my husband. beef was so delicious and veggies were fresh! fries were amazing as well! definitely recommend!
The head brewer took our order, poured our beer, and chatted about brewing with us. The Beer was fantastic as were the two appetizers we ordered. We will be definitely be back!
