Maybe I should have read the reviews before coming here. Its definitely a mixed bag of good reviews and bad reviews. For my experience here, customer service wasn't bad at all. There wasn't a wait to be seated, the place looked clean and it wasn't crowded. The decor reminds me of an older diner for sure, nothing modern (more on that later). The menu has a good variety of not just seafood, but also other things such as chicken and steaks. I ordered the special which has a variety of their options, fried scallops, fish, oysters, popcorn shrimp, jumbo shrimp, stuffed crab, which was about $22 plus im sure there was extra depending on what fish you choose. I opted to get the clam chowder with my meal which I will say as far as texture was ok, decent amount of clams, but it was bland. I've never been to a seafood place and received bland clam chowder. It seemed when I received my order, much of the food seemed to lack flavor. We also got the Alfredo which also lacked flavor, there is an extra charge for adding shrimp or scallops, we added both. My daughter said the alfredo lacked flavor but the scallops and shrimp were too salty. We saw the snow crab legs were "market price" and asked what the market price was and was told 2 lbs for $52? We have been to more mainstream restaurants, land shark for example 2 lbs was only $32. At the end, when we asked for our bill, we were brought out some paper that had everything on the menu marked with what we ordered with additions, but no total. Basically its not a bill that had everything digitized with what you ordered itemized with a total at the bottom? It's 2024, you should be able to provide an itemized bill with a total instead of this dizzying old school type diner bill where you would have to kind of do the math yourself just to figure out what you ordered and how much its going to cost. Basically you take the that paper to the register where they tally everything up? At the end of the day, the verdict is we would probably not come back since the food was way too expensive in comparison to the quality. Honestly ruins it for other local establishments since after this, we are not sure if we want to gamble again. Would rather go to a mainstream restaurant like Bonefish where we know, that even though it might be pricey we are at least guaranteed a flavorful meal since the menus are standardized meaning that each dish no matter where you go in the country will be seasoned and served to standard and if its not, they will make it right. Versus the food tasting on how the cook feels that day or however they wish to season it, which Im assuming the day we went, they were feeling "bland".
