Cake Box Bearwood Road (Smethwick)

I recently visited Cake Box in Bearwood for a special occasion cake, and I was thoroughly impressed! The staff was incredibly helpful in assisting me with my choice, providing excellent recommendations. I opted for a customized cake, and not only did it look stunning, but it tasted delicious too—fresh and perfectly sweet. The fact that their cakes are egg-free yet so moist and flavorful was a delightful surprise. The store was clean, and the service was quick and professional. I highly recommend Cake Box for anyone looking for top-quality cakes without eggs. Great experience overall!

I ordered a peppa pig cake for my daughters 2nd birthday. The cake description states is come with a happy birthday topper, however on collection no topper was received. I phoned them to ask what happened with the topper, the lady on the phone states you have to buy one, when it says on the description it comes with one free. So of course I was upset and asked to speak to a manager, this lady put the phone down on me. I rang back and no-one answered so I drove all the way back there only for her to be laughing at me like this is a joking matter. This company is so unprofessional and sloppy. How can you not know it comes with a free cake topper??? I will not be ordering from here again , you have ruined my day and putting the phone down was very disrespectful.

Came in store earlier this week and got some cupcakes. Oreo one was okay but definitely overpriced for £2.50 per cupcake. The red velvet cupcake however wasn’t great. Cream cheese frosting tasted off and not sweet in aftertaste at all. The price should match the quality and flavour needs improvement

This use be my favorite cake box but few times I been to bearwood cake box the customer service is so bad that as soon as you enter the shop the staff without saying hi hello they giving you a dirty look like the don’t want to be there and… Today there was 3 Indian lady’s 2 tall skinny and on short one the short one serviced me she had a very bad attitude I think cake box manger need to do some training on her how to greet customers she had no gloves with dirty hands she packed my cake made my cake box and the bag dirty and she just looked at me didn’t say sorry or anythjng!!! This was my last time using bearwood cake box! never again!!!

Service is abysmal. Rang last week and requested 6 cupcakes, just plain chocolate with plain green frosting (essentially just the Christmas tree ones without the sprinkles on- nothing extravagant) the woman on the phone said this was an easy change and they could do it but I should ring back closer to the date. Rang again today and the girl on the phone didn’t understand a word I was saying, the language barrier was awful then I got passed to someone else who kept speaking over me and kept telling me to order online for custom orders. When she finally let me speak I told her that the only cupcakes online are either for Halloween, Diwali, Christmas or baby showers so clearly she doesn’t know their own website that well and I would’ve ordered online to avoid this hassle but it wasn’t an option. She then back tracked and went “oh actually we don’t do custom cupcakes” even though I’ve ordered some within the past few months and I was told just the other day it was fine, I doubt they’ve changed that soon ‍♀️ pay a bit more and go to Lola’s cupcakes- was quick, efficient and so much less stressful than this experience.

Purchased cake today. The customer service was below average, and the cakes were old. The fruit was dry, the cream was hard and the sponge was not soft. Clearly far from freshly baked. Disgusting cake. Will not be going back to the over rated cake shop. Heard the cakes are frozen and defrosted to order. Massive con. Stay away. Complete waste of money. Rating -0/10 SHOCKING.
