The staff was very calm and polite
I had the misfortune of dining at Caffe Tonino today for lunch and it was without a doubt one of the worst experiences I've ever had.
Firstly, the service was abysmal. We were made to wait 25-30 minutes for our food when we had ordered only 2 items.
The food, when it arrived was cold. We had ordered a Bruschetta and Arrabbiata Pasta, the garlic bread in the Bruschetta was absolutely stone cold and they didn't even bother to toast it! There was no topping of olive oil and basil even though they have clearly stated it in their menu.
A traditional Bruschetta is served warm and with the garlic bread toasted but here we received an exact opposite version of the same - an utter disappointment when you consider the fact that it costs Rs. 325 excluding taxes and they serve only 3 pieces of garlic bread.
The pasta tasted fine but they took 30 minutes to prepare it and the quantity was outrageously small for the exorbitant price of Rs. 500 excluding tax. This was followed by the gentleman sitting adjacent to our table complaining that his thin crust pizza wasn't baked and looked like a clump of dough, all this discouraged us from ordering any other item from their menu.
Overall, I would discourage everyone reading this from visiting Caffe Tonino. Save your time, money and taste buds and choose a different dining establishment.
