Caffè Nero

Usually when I visit this local cafe it's really friendly, but I went in there today for a coffee and the usual friendly staff were not there and I did not feel as welcome which is a shame as normally this place is really friendly! Really hoping the friendly staff will come back! On a positive note this cafe will always be important to me as have been visiting here for over 7 years even when it was previously another community cafe.

Very nicely run - baristas are always friendly and welcoming, coffee and hot chocolates are consistently well made. It can get busy but the staff seem to keep on top of cleaning tables, serving customers efficiently etc. I think the lighting could be a bit brighter, but no other complaints! A good place to stop by.

Standard coffee shop Spacious seating of all kind. Friendly place Opens early in the morning. I recommend the pistachio chocolate mousse cake.

We have been going to this Caffè Nero for a while now and enough was enough up until last week and we won’t be returning. A drink spilt and the staff just expected the customer to clean it up. The chairs and tables are filthy and the toilet is also so unhygienic. They give unfortunate people food which is fair enough but the last time we went one was sprawled across a chair (on a busy Saturday morning) not eating or drinking anything and to be honest this person seemed either to be on drugs or drink. The hygiene rating needs updating or it needs to be shut down. With two small children we would not return to this branch. We visited St Albans branch and it was much cleaner.
