We started going to Cafe Chianti when they were at South and Hollis, and then went numerous times when they were on Barrington St. This was our third visit to their new location. Once again we had an excellent meal with great customer service. Cafe Chianti never disappoints, it is always consistently great.
Olivia was brilliant. Lovely lady and made our experience super!
We decided to dine here on Valentine’s Day. We love Italian food and this place had relatively good reviews! I’ll be honest, my expectations are pretty high when I’m paying $$$ for food. The food was good but it wasn’t amazing. Our appetizer was cold in the centre. The berries in the sangria and on the cheesecake were almost gone bad. The atmosphere seemed a bit dated but it was nice. Service was excellent. Overall, it feels like a place older folks would enjoy but I prefer our other tried and true Italian spot on spring garden.
Loved the food and service was excellent!!! MJ you are top notch!!! Thank you for helping make our 50th wedding anniversary special!! The dishes listed below were not what we on the menu but we all enjoyed what we had, spaghetti bolognese, ravioli, parpadella. Yummy
Had our Valentines day dinner at Cafe Chianti. Had the focaccia, Arancini, Mushroom Paparadelle and Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli. All were perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and scrumptious! MJ was our server and prompt, attentive and friendly! Atmosphere is quaint in the best way. Highly recommend!
We have been going to Cafe Chianti since they were in their old location. This was the first time we went to their new place in Marginal Road. First impression, GREAT! As usual, food is amazing. Service is astounding and ambiance is great. Highly recommend this place!
The good was good but the dessert was the best part.
Made the mistake of coming here for my 10 year anniversary. Made a reservation for 7. Showed up and was told I made the reservation for 8...even thou I didn't.. Service was horrible. My partner and I ordered the exact same meal. Chowder to start with pasta as the entrée. There was a deal on if you got a drink and a starter the entrée was free. We asked the waiter if we ordered a bottle of wine would the two entrées be free..... only recieved the deal for one entrée.......false advertisement. With my bottle of wine I ordered a coffee. Coffee never came. When my wife asked for the coffee again (after an hour) the tall redhead waiter was rude and clearly didn't remember us ordering it the first place. No sorry. No empathy. On top of that they forgot our order. After 45 mins they came out and asked for our order again. Even thou we both ordered the exact same thing. Both courses were the size of a starter. The chowder was small. There were only 5 or 6 pieces of ravioli. The chowder didn't take too long but the ravioli showed up well over an hour after the starter. I left hungry. Food was good. There wasn't enough of it. To make things even worse after waiting ages for the entrée they delivered it to the wrong table. Had to ask for the bill twice after waiting another 30 minutes. Bill showed up wrong and I just paid for it as I wanted to get out of their. Ambient blue light for our table was provided by an ultrasonic pest repeller that was plugged in directly next to our table. The place was dirty. There was a pile of dirt underneath a dresser directly next to us. Would not recommend.
We visited for the first time, last night! Great food and the service from Yurek was exceptional! He was very polite, efficient and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
