My favorite place to get take out. The food has never disappointed me here. Always very fast and very fresh. Even though they have a huge seating area in the back, it is mainly a take away restaurant. They do have a small indoor seating area in front, but it is not full table service. So, don't expect to have a sit down meal with guests. But for those nights that you happened to burn the casserole, the cat ate the chicken off the counter, or you are just down for some great Chinese food...this is the place.
I love this place. The owners are so sweet and treat you super nice. Food is AMAZING also have awesome paintings that are for sale. I purchased two. I recommend this place !!
Not sure what happened to this place but this place went seriously downhill. Went in to eat and the main dining room was closed. A sign was up saying no sushi until further notice. When we arrived we were asked if we were ordering to go, but the man behind the counter was very surprised when we said we wanted to dine in. He said ah yes we do offer fine dining. I'm not sure what was fine about it. I had to go up to the counter to order myself. All our food was brought in to go containers. The pickled veggies that used to come with every meal never came. I had to grab my own utensils, chop sticks, and drinks. However, the worst part was the food itself. We ordered several different kinds of dumplings and dim sum as well as some lo mein. Many of which tasted off or just plain bland. The shrimp dumplings were horrible and tasted turned so I quickly returned them out of fear of getting sick. We left the entire container of lo mein untouched. My niece was feeling sick to her stomach when we left. We will never return here.
Ordered general tso chicken with white rice. Drove 30 minutes home to find there was no white rice
It was my first time at C gourmet. The last time I was in this building, it was a Jack in the Box. So it's been awhile. We were a to go order. They were fairly expensive, but not drastically so. I myself had a General Tso Chicken combination meal. I am not thrilled that it was something like $16. Probably because it comes with soup. It was just too much food for one person. It also was unnecessarily more expensive. The Egg Drop soup was very good. The General Tso Chicken was good. The fried rice was okay. But it was a little dry and had no pork. But it had peas and carrots, which made it decent. I added some soy sauce to help it. But it was still a little dry. Not the best food I have ever had. But it was good enough that I would order it again when back in town. I do like that they use plastic containers that we can eat out of, then reuse and recycle, rather than the cardboard containers we got recently in the area. Wasting trees to toss in the landfill, while having to also use and still have to wash plates is not my preferred way to go. So the plastic containers made me happy as well. All in all, C gourmet was decent. Not the best or the least expensive either. But it was decent food at an not overly expensive price. They are worth a visit.
