Absolutely shocking portion sizes. Ordered an extra meal plus pudding (if you can call them that) and everyone still left hungry. Safe to say we won't be coming back. Kid-friendliness: Awful nasty children with parents not watching

Went yesterday evening for tea with 2 friends. We ordered through the app to save the fuss off 3 separate orders etc. 2 mocktails arrived followed by a pint of Guinness about 5-10minutes later. We got a starter to share. No one came to see if we had finished and were ready for our mains so we were sat waiting 10-15minutes with the starter plate on our table till our mains came; even after our mains came they didn't take the starter plate away. Two of us got the same burgers; but how differently they were presented. I also had the salt and pepper chips was nothing like the photos it was just a horrific chip seasoning and there was far too much on the chips I barely ate them. The burger was nice. My friend got a beyond meat burger and she was missing items from her burger, it was different from described on the menu. They then wanted pudding and went upto the bar to order this to be told the kitchen was closed. A nice gentle que from a member of staff wouldn't have gone a miss to ask if we would be looking at ordering puddings and that the kitchen will close in 'x' amount of time. We have been wanting to try the Byways for a while but the kitchen was always closed; we won't be back and will stick with what we know at The Foxhound.

Waited at the bar for nearly 10 minutes without any acknowledgement. People getting served out of turn. Clueless bar staff. Turned round and walked out. Avoid!

Terrible place. Waited over an hour for a curry and rice which was awful. Will not be returning!
