Bulls Head, Hale Barns

Lovely staff, good food, nice and bright with a great garden too. Only used the restaurant and bar so can’t comment on the hotels or room.

Best ever local pub, we live in Leeds but worth the drive. Bar staff really friendly. Thank you for so many great nights! Rooms: Lovely rooms and very clean! Bed very comfortable wood recommend!

I love this pub. The staff are so friendly and Nicky is fantastic. The food is beautiful. It is well worth a visit.

This is our local mainly because of the great atmosphere, the warm welcome and awesome service from the staff! Nikki & her team always give us a warm welcome with our dog! I always nice to walk in a place where they recognise and acknowledge you! Can’t wait for the summer to enjoy the fabulous beer garden!

Sorry it's taken so long to reveiw. My wife and I were en route to NYC for Xmas and decided to give the Raddison Blue a miss this time (0 stars out of 5 for them BTW) and stay at the Bulls head and was not disapointed. The room was perfect as was the bar and evening meal we had. The bar/restraunt was very tastefully decorated and looked very festive and the place overall just exuded such a marvelous atmosphere with the staff being extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding (Eggs Benedict) served in front of a roaring log fire. It will now be our number one choice for our pre departure stay in future.

we ordered 3 meals 2 lamb cofta which arrived with red blood on inside - and it took 35 mins to do again then we ordered 3 custard puddings and custard was not warm it was my wifes birthday the lady manager offered 1 free pudding ( £5 -50 ) it total we spent £90 we will never eat at Bulls Head again

I’ve just had a terrible experience at the bulls head, greeted by a rude female server with blonde hair at 18:30 on Sunday 17th March. Told us to go and sit at the bar- despite us booking a table? (We had a dog and understand the rules throughout the week but we were always under the impression it was table service on a Sunday, as it always has been previously) We then went up to the bar for me to get ID’ed?! I haven’t been asked for ID for years and have been visiting the bulls head frequently on a Sunday!! The same server was rude and disinterested so we decided to leave and we will not be returning due to her.

An excellent place to stay in a beautiful part of North West England.
