Bub and Pop's

As someone who loves subs and was fortunate enough to grow up with Florida pub subs, this is probably the best subs I’ve ever had. The italian is classic and cannot disappoint, and the fried chicken was also delicious. There’s no seating for lunch, but you can sit in the little park at the intersection with lots of shade.

This place usually has great food, I was there recently and got a chicken parmesan sandwich for the very first time, not only was the sandwich overcooked the bread was burnt outside and inside, what was suppose to be sauce inside was totally dried up, it was really awful, to add to already being very disappointed with my sandwich, I take it back after spending my entire lunch hour dealing with it , the girl at the window had the worst customer service ever, she was so rude not only to me but another co-worker expressed the exact same rudeness from her, clearly she does not need to working directly with customers, I was told well we don't give refunds at all, never was I asking for a refund, I just thought if she had any real customer service skills, the answer should have been well let us try to make it right , of course that never came out of her mouth, I said can I get a chicken salad sandwich instead with only extra mayo and cheese only, she proceeded to say it's a extra 2.00 dollars for that, so you'll have to pay again for another sandwich, I thought you gotta be kidding me after all I just went through, I said I'm not paying 2.00 for no mayo, my entire office will not patronize this Bub and Pop's shop ever again on M. street N.W. and will pass it on to others, Customer Service is a plus, some people just have it and others have no customer service skills at all, and she had absolutely none at all!!!!! Very disappointed customer that you lost forever...

The Porchetta sandwich was amazing!

Delicious tasty sandwiches. A bit pricey, but good quality. Definitely recommend. Rich boy: reminds me of a shrimp po boy. Juicy crunchy shrimp with a punch of flavor Porchetta: reminds me of dinics roast pork sandwich in Philly with the broccoli rabe

Was looking for a cheesesteak place and this hole in the wall mom n pop shop looked promising. They were out of the cheesesteak and the brisket sandwich that I got instead was probably the worst sandwich I have ever had. The bread was untoasted so it just fell apart into mush immediately. The brisket was barely above room temperature. The cheese was unmelted. The pickled veggies on top were tasteless. AND it was $14 for just a half sandwich! Wholly disappointing.

Their website says they close at 7 so I called to place a pick up order at 6:15. Whoever answered the phone was very rude (rude tone, kept sighing as I was speaking, acted as if I was an inconvenience for trying to patron the place). She said they weren't accepting orders because they had already cleaned the kitchen. 6:15 is a reasonable time for dinner. Don't stay open until 7 if you close the kitchen well before! I've liked their food in the past, but there are many places in DC that sell the same type of food.

For some odd reason the app is saying I've been there be don't really recall going there but it on my to do list to eat at bub and pops.

The subs are amazing. Our team goes for lunch every week and we'll start talking about how much we're looking forward to it about three days in advance. The half sub is enough for a meal, so don't be put off by the price of the whole one. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who's looking for an awesome sub.
