Outstanding food and service. Great ambiance. Delicious wine .
Absolutely fabulous as always! It's a long drive for us, but always worth it. So many unique pasta dishes with so much flavor and the menu changes seasonally. The flourless chocolate cake was phenomenal as well as the wine & beer. We'll be back for the summer menu.
I have no idea why it’s taken me so long to visit Broder’s, but finally I can check this one off my bucket list and add it to the regular rotation. My husband claimed he just wanted spaghetti and meatballs, and it was 3 in the afternoon. I had a few ideas, but none opened until 4 PM. Broder’s is only a 15 minute drive from our place in the southern suburbs, so off we went. Somehow, I expected a bigger restaurant, but we were pleasantly surprised by an intimate little bistro, filled with delightful aromas. Cozy is the word that comes to mind, We started with a bowl of rosemary roasted Marcona almonds and calamari. After tasting the nuts, I immediately Googled a recipe. What a simple and lovely starter. Calamari was fresh, tender and the fennel was a great touch. The bread tray was on point. Even the thin, cracker like bread was delicious. I went with risotto con pollo for my entree and it was a revelation. Tender chicken breast that I would bet was poached, basil, lemon and mint really enhanced the flavor profile. The spaghetti and meatballs, while simple, were delicious. Meatballs were tender, but not mushy. We had cappuccinos and profiteroles for dessert and it was the perfect ending. Wonderful place for a romantic date. I absolutely cannot wait to return to try more of this incredible institution’s menu.
Love everything about Broders'. Both the restaurant and the deli are always top notch!!!
We’ve gotten take out a few times and for the price the amount you get is lacking. Otherwise, quality and taste is great and staff has been good to interact with.
Went here for a dinner on a weekday. Since it was after 8 when we were seated, we chose to do their after8 dinner for 2. The salads, the pasta, the bread, wine and the service were exceptional. We ordered a tiramisu additionally. The agilio oglio was my favorite dish - I had requested some mushrooms and asparagus be added to it. We loved every bite of all dishes we ate and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to eat good Italian food. It is also very vegetarian friendly. It’s really unfortunate that I didn’t take a picture of our pasta.
We did the lunch special with a salad and our entrées were the Strongozzi Alla Spolentina and Risotto con Pollo and both were a . We finished with an espresso and a truffle. Also . Our waiter, Jakob was super personable, fun and gave great recommendations on the food based on our questions. He could see we were deep in discussion so he let us have our space which I absolutely appreciated as some can just hover or be overly attentive. Lovely little place that I will absolutely be going back to!
