I really, really like this place. It can get crowded, so go early. 09/07/2023 Follow up - still good food and good service. the prices have gone up, and the service is still good. I was not impressed with a half of a slice of bread I got with my meal. at these prices, I think we can afford a full slice of bread and have the bread toasted. 04/23/2023 - we would normally go to brisket two or three times while we are at Myrtle Beach. We'll probably start cutting back. The prices have ticked up again, the half slice of bread is still annoying, but this time, having to pay for premium sided like baked beans (at a barbecue restaurant!) is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Courtney was our waitress and she was very nice. The brisket had too much fat this time. We will still dine at brisket, but just not as often.
I ate there last night 10/14 and all through the night i was in the bathroom on the toilet. I had rice for breakfast and hoping i was ok not a chance a hour later i was in there again .
Ok so we went here based off of the reviews. We gotta stop doing that. Honestly it wasn't that great. They didn't have ribs, the sausage was dry, the Brisket was ok not anything to brag about needed more moisture. All of the meats we had seemed like it was leftovers. The fries was awful it needed to be bigger cuts of potatoes. Not sure what happened but it wasn't all that. The meat was way too smokey. It also wasn't even that hot when it was brought out.
We got here by a chance, we were in the area and thinking about food ...Checked my phone and "Brisket" popped up ....After checking the pictures with that delicious food we went ... happy to find a table available and from the hostess to our server... Nothing but hospitality and great service. We loved the Brisket....Tacos, Quesadillas, that delicious Mac and cheese over the top with the brisket....oh and those hush puppies yummy This place will be our first choice when in the area. Thanks Courtney we appreciate you took week care of us. Parking: Lucky to find a spot to park Kid-friendliness: Yes kid friendly. Our hostess whom was very nice came to our table with paper and crayon for little one. Perfect timing.
Bought the fried pork rinds. They were basic at best, but they came with a delicious cheese sauce! We stopped on a random weekday and it was packed, so the other food might be good, but we weren't wanting to wait so it was just takeout pork rinds for us.
Huge portion, & utterly delicious fried pork skins & pimento cheese dip. Brisket was good, too. Baked beans had little to no bacon. Sausage was okay, but nothing special.
The food wasn’t the most enjoyable. But the bartender was extremely nice
