The worst food in old town Alexandria VA especially THE BURGER FRIES it was horrible…. I will Never go back there again
Good service & food. Pitiful serving size. A $27 pasta entree is a kids meal size. Don’t go here unless you plan on spending $100 per person for a full meal size.
Excellent experience! I came to Alexandria for a couple of days and I had dinner there 3 times! Cheeseburgers are just amazing and I tasted also other recipes, very good! The service is excellent, they are so kind and accurate! I definitely recommend it!
Brabo used to be a "go-to" for myself and staff in Alexandria. I brought a client/customer here recently and had to apologize to him afterwards for the abysmally bad service, middling food, and strange staff mannerisms. I'll seek another location in the future, Brabo is definitely off the list, I truly hope they raise the standards back to where they used to be at this location. I don't see myself taking another chance here in the future.
My son and I ate at this restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice and inviting. So I wanted to try the food. My first dish was the French onion soup. I must admit, it was good. Then my son and I both ordered the Porkchops. I thought I smelled something a little spoiled, but then I said, OK maybe it's just me. I begin to cut the porkchop and eat. First, it was tuff and not moisten. Then my son's porkchop came, he took one smell, and cut a small piece of the tuff meat, and lo and behold, he too said, no. His porkchop had that same spoiled meat smell. So much so, that he sent it back for the roasted chicken instead. He did not continue to eat anymore. For me, I was so hungry, that I continued to eat some more of the very tuff meat. But because I still had some of my French onion soup, I would eat them together. There was also no seasonings on this meat...like salt. Just kinda bland. This is not a place I would ever sit down and eat in again. As I am writing this review, and since I left the restaurant, my stomach has been in pain. Normally when I sit down for dinner at a restaurant, I always do full courses to include dessert. Not here. Too afraid that dessert would have been subpar, at best. A real waste of over $100 dollars.
Stayed at the hotel so decided to give this restaurant a try. Not a whole lot people when I was there, was quickly seated and served. Ordered steak frites. Overall food is just ok. Be aware they charge $5 for the little bitty four slides of bread; also the steak's price is different that what's on the menu from the hotel.
This was an amazing breakfast. I forgot to take pictures. We shared an all American breakfast and chicken and waffles. 1 bloody Mary and 1 screwdriver. Everything was excellent as you can see by the empty plate. Lol
We went here for restaurant week. It was a 3 course dinner for $50 each. I had the heirloom tomato salad, spinach gnocchi, and the chocolate cake with ice cream. Everything was delicious!! And I appreciated how quick everything came out. The wait staff were also very attentive and friendly. Overall, a very nice dinner experience. I’ll need to come for brunch sometime!
Had dinner here while traveling for business and staying at the Lorien. It was a cold night and decided to eat in which was a good choice. Had the grilled chicken and home made ginger drink. Would definitely return.
