Popped in to shelter my 6 year old son from the rain. Unfortunately we couldn’t order anything as I only had cash on me and they have no till so I can’t comment on the food. They did however let us shelter for a few moments whilst the rain past. My son is in a wheelchair and unfortunately can take up quite some space. The only table free was near the hall to the toilet. I was happy to move him as people went by which I did. However when one of staff went by they asked, “Could you move this?” I replied, “Do you mean my child?” To which I got no response at all. I am shocked by the level customer service and general human interaction of I’m honest. I’ve often popped in there for a cup of coffee on walks and for a break but I won’t be going again at all.

Great cake!

As we arrived to Loughborough to visit friends over weekend first stop to pop in for drink in this very unique and quite busy caffe on Saturday noon. Atmosphere is very friendly and homey such beautiful mix of families with children , couples with dogs , book shelves to chill and read as well as chess table which I founded so amazing that they made everyone comfortable and feel like home. Team was very professional , quick and very welcoming and friendly. Menu was full of healthy food and drinks that made me think that if I lived there it would definitely be place to spend my weekends free time there as well as pick up lunch or drink while at work break. I had Matcha with almond milk and it was absolutely spot on and delicious made by Jay who is absolute gem . I would highly recommend visiting this caffe and looking forward going back there next time I visit that area again. Thank you team BoxKitchen for your hospitality.

Americano very strong - I was buzzing all day. Would have liked larger cup - with same amount of coffee - in order to weaken with boiling water.

A real gem, ah - may - zing coffee (that means a lot I’m a coffee snob) a cosy and fresh atmosphere to work remotely and healthy food options will definitely be back ASAP Dietary restrictions: Am gluten free and there’s nice biscuit or cake options and a lot from the menu too. Parking: Free parking next door for an hour Kid-friendliness: I don’t have children but visited with a friend with a toddler and she was given crayons and some paper game to colour in

I came here with my friend about 5 months ago and I really enjoyed my pancakes. Today I was very excited about bringing my husband as I had a positive experience the time before. We got to the place at 9.20 and our food arrived at the table at about 10.30. When I placed the order I was advised that there would be a wait, but I didnt think it would take over an hour! My pancakes came out burnt, dry and with very little fruit, then 20 mins later my husbands bacon butty came out, followed by the coffees 5 minutes later. I didnt want to complain about the pancakes as I didnt want to waste them and also wait further time for new food! The tables around us had apologies for the delay and they were told why there was a delay. Unfortunately we had no apology! Whilst I am aware that they were short staffed, and it wasn't their fault, customer service is super important and I am disappointed that we were the only table that didn't get an apology! Sadly, I would be very hesitant to return to this place.
