Boston Chops Downtown

First time experiencing Boston Chops during restaurant week. The specific venue boasts a sophisticated, dimly lit ambiance upon entry. However, I did find myself wishing for some windows to invite in natural light. Nevertheless, the atmosphere remained enjoyable. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive, even offering complimentary prosecco due to a slight table adjustment. The bread provided was delightfully airy and reminiscent of a croissant, served warm with butter in individual holders—a charming touch. Overall, the cuisine impressed with its delicious flavors, accompanied by the added treat of unlimited fries. The presence of servers circulating with generous bowls of fries for replenishment added to the dining experience. Opting for the New York Strip, we found it to be satisfactory, with commendable flavor, though we both acknowledged having sampled better steaks elsewhere.

Nothing like Texas steakhouses. Boston Chops is a nice, cool place, but the food was a disappointment, expensive, and not super high quality meat (or at least not to TX standards). The calamari was good, although different to what you are used to get. Even though we had a reservation, we needed to wait like 30-40 min, and once seated the service was slow. The wait between the appetizer and entrees was kind of frustrating, probably a good 20-25 min. If you have the time, and the money to spend in just average steak, this is your place.

Atmosphere is great and the servers are all a class act. There isn’t much on the menu besides steak, so bringing someone here who doesn’t eat beef would be a faux pas.

Fantastic steak house with great meat, sides and wines. Great, friendly service and nice atmosphere where you can still have a conversation.

Service was very attentive. Tomahawk steak was so unctuous. Jay is a great storyteller! Ask about the waygu beef! Enough space that a business dinner isn't cramped. Only con is the music is loud and it's hard to hear my guests above the din from other tables.

Still dreaming of this food. Everything was perfect: the service, the atmosphere, the food, the drinks. Absolute perfection!!

Very good dinner in a strange location. Good if going to the Opera House.
