I’m going to write this review from 3 perspectives. An adult that enjoys live music/beer/food, a parent that likes to take my kids to places with something unique to foster creative minds, and finally as a musician that recently played Bonus Pints for the first time. As an adult that enjoys live music/beer/food, I’ve had several items that Bonus Pints serves and am never disappointed. Generous portions, tons of flavor in every dish, and unique selections without getting too far off the map. The beer selections are great, and even if you’re a domestic beer drinker they have something that matches up. Try a couple, I know you’ll find one that clicks. The bands are always unique and fantastic. The sound is always perfect to be able to still have a conversation. They have music every Friday, some days through the week, and sometimes on Saturdays. It’s become a popular destination for both local and regional/national acts. So cool! As a parent, I can take my 3 kids ranging from 8-17 here, throw them $10-$20 apiece and they disappear in pinball, Golden Tee, and the several arcade games they have to offer. Anytime I say Bonus Pints, their eyes light up! Finally, as musician that recently played here, it is Grade A+. For one, they have a house PA. This cuts down on the amount of gear you have to haul and set up. You pull up right in front, unload, and take your gear 15-20’ to the stage. Chris, the sound guy, is super nice and knows the system like the back of his hand. He’ll dial you in to make you sound as good as possible. The backdrop of the stage is literally like something from a photo shoot background with brick and guitars lining the wall. The clientele that attends shows there are so respectful and appreciate live music. No weird echos or sound traps like some venues. Clean power. Fast setup. Fast tear down. Bonus Pints is a local gem and Logansport should be so proud to have a business like this leading the way!
The food here is wonderful!! The atmosphere is great even in the afternoon before things heat up. My good friend plays pinball here a lot. Great games, changing frequently. The Record Farm in the front of the building is a must see if you like your vinyl. Boutique style shops upstairs. Children are welcome too!!
