Junk. Got delivery and tossed the entire order. Grainy, hard gulab jamun (canned?). Bhaji for pav is flavorless and oily and came without any onions, cilantro, etc. Paneer pakoda literally made me laugh because it was just massive hunks of paneer on some dough. Give this a hard pass and save your money, palate, and stomach.
On top of having amazing food every time, the service here is great and they really show so much care. We order take out from here all the time but in person is even better. The best naan in dc also! We were offered a chai on the house right before we left and they showed us the best way to drink it! 10/10 recommend!
Genuinely the best Indian food I think I’ve ever had (or just best food period), I still think about their Lamb Biryani and Rogan Josh all the time, it’s incomparable. Moved out of the city now and this is still my standard to which every other Indian restaurant I’ve tried is set against - there’s nowhere that beats it
Food was average. We are from NJ and would not rate food quality as high as people in DC did. but it's not bad either
Service was good but Lots of food color in paneer makhni and tandoori chicken. Pav bhaji was bland
Friendly staff, Amazing food! Would recommend!
Excellent, food, service, and atmosphere were great!
I have been going to this place since they were opened, and they never ceased to impress!
Amazing food, very authentic taste, and the staff is very nice!
The THALI is a must try!!
We ordered vada pav and tea. Really delicious vadapav and crispy tikki. Then for main course we got Bombay Thali. It had both veg and non-veg and the manager was considerate to keep things completely separate as my friend is strictly vegetarian. The taste to all the curries (chicken and mutton) were so diverse and authentic. It was really worth every penny having such a delicious meal.
Food was absolutely delicious, and Abdul was great. I would 💯 come again!
Beutifull music , very clean , and very good hospitality , i will defenitly recomend it , the lamb rogan josh was absolutly delicius
10000/10 would recommend. Wonderful food, wonderful staff. Had a positive experience overall.
Amazing place. The people are so sweet, very friendly, and attentive to our needs.
This was our first experience at an Indian restaurant, so we got the platter for two with 6 kinds of curry. It was an overload of * Amazing * flavor.
Our baby loved the Naan dipped in mango chutney. Much to the delight of the staff.
Wish we lived close enough to come back again. It was a great first for us.
Thanks!
10/10 love this place! I always take my parents here whenever they visit from India. Met the owner today, he was very welcoming and polite.
Will definitely recommend this spot. Authentic indian food!
Agreeing with other more recent reviews that the quality has gone way downhill. Ordered the seekh kebab and what arrived was a few pieces of gelatinous sausage pieces on wilted lettuce. Totally inedible and I actually assumed they just sent me the wrong food because I’ve never seen seekh kebab look like that. My partner ordered tikka masala and it was cold and bland. I’m now up in the middle of the night sick from the food. I’m disappointed to say we won’t be ordering from what used to be one of our favorite places. (Columbia Heights location).
Very good food and very great service. Friendly staff!
Tried today, food was not good, avoid tandoori dishes (felt stale)
Authentic Indian chaat including vada pav and chai - speaking with the authority of someone born & raised in Mumbai, arguably the chaat, vada pav, pav bhaji and chai capital of India. The owner was very kind and friendly as were the staff. Very quick service, pleasant India-like ambience. They took great care to accommodate food preferences. Portion sizes were generous and taste, texture and temperature were excellent. All in all one of the best restaurants for Indian food in Washington
